Though known for his quirky charisma and disposition for clowning around whilst at camp, Jacob is a hard worker when the pressure is on. A little-known titbit about Jacob is he was a ball kid at the Australian Open for a few years in his youth, sharing the court with many of the Tennis world’s greats including Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murry, Williams, Sharapova….list goes on!
In the real world, Jacob holds a degree in Aerospace engineering and works at an aviation maintenance company where he works on Air Force fighter jet parts.
Thanks to Lord Somers Camp and Power House, now I can “be in front of a large group of people. I had such a fear of public speaking, but that’s changed through the opportunities that camp has afforded me like performing in the Panto, making presentations and overseeing departments.”
As a leader, I have learned “to just have fun with it! Sure sometimes it can be a little stressful and lots of work but there’s no point doing it if you’re not enjoying yourself.”
