R U OK? Day 14 September 2023
Let the people in your world know you’re ready to really listen, because a conversation could change a life.
R U OK?Day 2023 is Thursday 14 September and is the national day of action when we are reminded that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation. Particularly whenever we spot the signs that someone we know or care about might be struggling with life.
R U OK? is calling on all of us to let others know we genuinely want to hear them. By taking the time for an R U OK? conversation and genuinely listening with an open mind, we can all help the people in our world feel supported and connected.
It’s also a great opportunity to check in with ourselves and see how our own wellbeing is.
And it’s completely okay to not be okay. We don’t have to fix people. We can focus on creating empathic connection. For more information about how to have an R U Ok? conversation visit: How to ask “Are you OK?” | R U OK?
