Technology has advanced significantly over the decades, an nothing can be more true when it comes to how facades can function in the modern day. In the early 1960’s, Power House was ahead of its time however the facade currently is very inefficient when it comes to energy, keeping in comfortable temperatures and keeping uncomfortable temperatures out.
To ensure the refurbishment can work as effectively and efficiently as possible while using as much of the original character as possible, John Wardle Architects met on site with a façade engineer from Bonacci to strategize over the future design.
This is an exiting opportunity to highlight yet another benefit to this project for the wider community. Having a useable and attractive building is one thing, however ensuring an energy efficient building that is sustainable for decades to come is critical for everyone’s future.
