The program

empowerme is a one-day interactive workshop for Year 10 students to reflect on their aspirations and inspire their futures.

We believe that everyone should have the chance to question their life. empowerme helps young people evaluate their passions, set goals and learn how they can achieve their full potential.

The attendees

The program is designed for year 10 students and run by volunteers predominantly under the age of 25. This allows participants to see a program run by young people for young people.

Program Objectives:
  • Participants build capacity for reflection.
  • Participants are able to explore their talents and skills in a supportive environment.
  • Participants have opportunities to build their decision-making skills.
Don’t trust our word for it? Here are past participant reflections:

“Heaps of fun, you get the opportunity to meet new people and discover your strengths.” Laura, Melbourne.

“Recommended for those who are struggling to find confidence in themselves.” Czarna, Melbourne

“It’s one of those experiences where you are very standoffish at first but the more you get into it the more you enjoy it.” Alexander, Melbourne.

“An opportunity to discuss your interests and passions and learn the necessary skills in order to find your full potential.” Amanda, Melbourne.
