The Community Outreach Initiative is a volunteer led annual working bee, often described as The Block for social good. The aim is to provide coordinated assistance to organisations and communities that require a helping hand. Past projects have included painting and repairing community facilities in Montserrat and Bendigo, creating a sensory garden for a special development school and the reconstruction of fence-lines destroyed by floods in Northern Victoria.
Projects we can do
- Minor renovations
- Gardening and lawn care
- Support charitable care packing
- Fencing / clearing fallen trees
- Cleaning flood damage
Anywhere between 1 to 100 volunteers from LSC&PH will donate time to assist the chosen community organisation. Volunteers have a range of skills and abilities with anyone able to lend a hand.
Have a project we should know about?
If you have a project or know of a project that you would like to put forward, please let us know where it is, when it would suit and what is needed and we’ll put our thinking caps on and work out a plan to help support.
