PROTECT YOURSELF
1. YOU ARE THE BOSS
Your body belongs to your and what you say goes.
You can say NO if you don’t want to kiss of hug someone or offer a high five or handshake instead.
No one is allowed to hurt your body in any way.
4. NO SECRETS
You should NEVER keep secrets that make you feel bad or uncomfortable.
If someone asks you to keep a secret that makes you feel bad or unsafe, you must TELL and adult of your SAFETY NETWORK straight away.
You won’t get in trouble.
2. YOUR BODY IS PRIVATE
The parts of your body covered by your underwear are your own PRIVATE body parts. You should use their proper names.
No one can touch your private parts. No one can ask you to touch their private parts and no one should show you pictures of private parts.
If any of these things happen, you must TELL an adult on your SAFETY NETWORK straight away.
5. NO GIFTS
Sometimes people try and trick you by giving you treats, money of gifts to gain your trust.
Refuse to do what they ask and don’t take the gifts they give you. TELL SOMEONE.
3. CREATE A SAFETY NETWORK
Develop a group of trusted adults you feel comfortable talking to.

6. IT IS NEVER YOUR FAULT
Always remember, it is NEVER your fault if someone touches you in a way that makes you feel worried, uncomfortable, confused or scared.
You are not alone. TELL SOMEONE
RECOGNISE
Listen to your BODY CLUES and EARLY WARNING signs
REACT
Go to a SAFE PLACE or a TRUSTED ADULT, shout or phone for HELP, say NO.
REPORT
Tell a TRUSTED ADULT what happened, or why you felt unsafe
TAKE ACTION & REPORT
You’ll be redirected to our incident report form where you can file a report. This will be review with our CEO and Child Safe Committee.
We encourage you to reach out with any concern or if you have any questions you want clarified directly by our CEO in relation to any Child Safe matters.
