COVID Cleaning

Lord Somers Camp has been accredited through the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program, subsequently the Quality Tourism Framework (QTF), since 2014. Quality Tourism accreditation is a national business development program that ensures businesses have met a standard within their business operations, and strive to maintain and improve ethical and professional standards set and agreed to by the industry. The QTF is owned by Australian Tourism Industry Council and managed in Victoria by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC). VTIC is the peak body for Victoria’s tourism and events industry.

Lord Somers Camp was awarded status as a COVID Clean Practicing Business through the QTF on 5 June 2020, and is now eligible to use the COVID Clean Practicing Business logo to signify their commitment to upholding the standards of this accreditation module. Meeting these standards entails daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and disinfecting of all aspects of the below areas of the property, in line with Safe Work Australia guidelines, and enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices to reduce the risk of infection and minimise the risk of transmission. A COVID-19 specific risk register for the business has also been developed and approved.

Comment from Grace, Industry Development Coordinator from VTIC:

“I have no hesitation in recommending Lord Somers Camp for this grant. They have been committed to upholding the accreditation standards for the last six years and will apply the same diligence to maintaining the COVID Clean requirements.”
